Definition:
In general, counterfeit goods are copied and packaged to resemble genuine/legitimate goods as closely as possible.
Patent
Definition:
A property right granted by the Government of the United States of America to an inventor “to exclude others from making, using, offering for sale, or selling the invention throughout the United States or importing the invention into the United States.
Practitioner
Definition:
one who stands for or acts on behalf of another. A Patent attorney or patent agent may represent the inventors named in a patent application.
Simple Piracy
Definition:
The unauthorised duplication of an original recording for commercial gain without the consent of the rights owner; the packaging of pirate copies is different from the original.
